Warehouse/Relief Driver (HGV Class 2) - Trafford Park, Manchester (No Weekend or Overnights!)

Joining our friendly and hardworking CCF team as a Driver/Warehouse Assistant, you'll be on the front line dealing with orders, deliveries and stock coming in and out of the business. As part of the branch team you will play a vital role in our continued success, providing a first class service.

What will I be doing?

The role is based in our branch in Trafford Park, Mancester, we are a team of 16 with 7 warehouse colleagues, your working hours will be flexible Monday to Friday 42.5 hours per week - NO WEEKENDS!

You’ll be based in our warehouse where no two days are the same but this is what you can expect here are a few pointers:

• Our success is built on strong relationships with our customers so it’s essential that you can help deliver the highest standards of service - the key thing is to be helpful and friendly at all times, you will likely get to know our customers on a first name basis

• You will be based in our Warehouse, processing our customer orders, loading and unloading customer and company vehicles

• Getting stock ready to be collected and delivered

• You’ll deliver and collect our products to and from our customers and branches, safely and efficiently. Making sure that the vehicle is loaded properly and that we meet road transport and traffic legislation standards, you’ll help our operations run as smoothly as possible.

• Safety is at the forefront of everything we do, your aim will be to ensure that our standards never slip, this means maintaining a tidy and safe working environment

Who you are?

You will be hard working, happy to work inside and out and be a team player.  The role can be physically demanding at times too and working in this environment you will have a strong focus on health and safety. You will bring a positive attitude and be happy forging great relationships with all of our customers - this is a customer facing role and we want every customer to feel welcomed when they come to the branch.Of course, you’ll have previous experience as a Driver and hold a full UK driving licence/HGV Class 2 licence. Previous experience delivering building materials would be advantageous. Out on the road, you’ll be able to work on your own with minimum supervision. And since you’ll often be the first point of contact for our customers and branches, your people skills will be to a top standard.
