LGV / HGV Class 2 Driver

Joining our friendly and hardworking team as a HGV CLASS 2 Driver, you'll be on the front line dealing with orders, deliveries and stock coming in and out of the business. As part of the branch team, you will play a vital role in our continued success, providing a first class service.

What will I be doing?

You’ll be carrying out multi-drop deliveries of building materials from our branch to our local customers in a safe and professional manner. It’ll be your responsibility to ensure the vehicle is properly loaded, safe and in-line with road and transport legislation. 

The successful candidate will be safety focussed, ensuring work is completed in a safe and professional manner. Our drivers are passionate about what we do and delivering for our customers. We want like minded drivers to join our team with the same mindset and ambition.

• Our success is built on strong relationships with our customers so it’s essential that you can help deliver the highest standards of service - the key thing is to be helpful and friendly at all times, you will likely get to know our customers on a first name basis.

• Safety is at the forefront of everything we do, your aim will be to ensure that our standards never slip, this means maintaining a tidy and safe working environment.

• Experience with a HIAB is preferable but not essential for this role.

• Experience driving lorries between 12 - 16 tonne is also desirable.

For this role you will be joining the team in Helston Travis Perkins.This is a well established team with a competitive mindset, hungry for sales and staying in the top of their region. Joining this team you will be at the forefront of our business with this customer facing role. With a team of 8 and you will be the HGV driver for this branch. They strive to make sure their service is the best in town. With local competition we are looking for somebody who can bring enthusiasm and drive to our team to make the branch complete. With our very close knit experienced team and loyal customer base this would be the perfect opportunity for someone to get their foot in the door.  Experience with multi drop HGV driving is essential, and Hiab experience is preferable. We also want someone with the right attitude towards our branch culture and safety!!
