Our nationwide-network of over 40 branches and dedicated colleagues are ready to support National, Regional and Local campaigns by offering value and outcome focused solutions - with a huge range of materials held in stock, a civils specific fleet of FORS Gold vehicles and colleagues with expert civils product, project, technical and local knowledge.
Our HGV Drivers are responsible for:
Moving stock (mainly civils, heavy building materials and drainage solutions) in a safe and professional manner from our branches to our customers
Loading the vehicle in the yard using the Lorry Loader/Crane (usually known as a HIAB licence). No HIAB? No problem! The branch will fully fund your lorry loader/crane training, ensuring you’re qualified and comfortable operating vehicle mounted cranes.
Ensuring the vehicle is properly loaded, safe and in-line with road and transport legislation
Carrying out vehicle checks before you leave site
Using Electronic Proof of Delivery
Carrying out local multi-drop work, returning back to the branch at least once to reload for your next run.
Helping with loading and unloading your vehicle and any other work that needs carrying out including keeping your vehicle clean and tidy
Safety is a priority and you’ll make sure that standards never slip
For this role we are open to discussing the possibility of reduced hours, flexible start and finish times, compressed hours, part-time or job sharing. Please talk to us at the interview about the flexibility you need. We can’t promise to give you exactly what you want, but we do promise not to judge you for asking.

Am I right for the job?
Applicants will have a Category C class 2 driving licence, up to date CPC (DQC Card) records and recent HGV driving experience (lorry loader/crane experience preferred, but not essential). You’ll be confident in dealing with our customers, building new relationships and developing existing ones. The successful candidate will be safety focussed, ensuring work is completed in a safe and professional manner. Our drivers are passionate about what we do and deliver for our customers.
