We are looking for amazing individuals who want to start their career in logistics & distribution. THE ROLE

The role has a lot of variety and whilst there is some routine, no two days will be the same. 
You will work in areas such as:
  • picking, packing, goods in and sorting
  • marshalling, loading and replenishment
Reporting to the Team Leader, you will share responsibility for ensuring:
  • the effective and safe operation of the facility, and
  • that our BSS branches across the nation are receiving the right goods at the right time
With 60 colleagues working together at any time (120 in total across our different shifts) our Warehouse Operatives play an important role in the operation of our distribution centre.

WHAT WE OFFER
  • Earn up to £25,512 + BONUS on our afternoon and evening shifts
  • Bonus: £600 per annum with an opportunity for this to double if the company hits it’s target
  • 22 days holiday plus bank holidays

  • A structured training programme which will see you gain accreditations and various truck licences, and the option to join our Level 2 Supply Chain Warehouse Apprenticeship scheme
  • 40 hours per week - Monday to Friday (NO WEEKEND OR BANK HOLIDAY WORK)

Location: BSS Distribution Centre in Magna Park, Lutterworth

YOUR FIRST 12 MONTHS WITH US

First few months 
  • Picking / putaways on the mezzanine floor / sorting products  / wrapping pallets
  • Processing goods in / returns/ site returns 
  • Learning the product types, timings of the shift / deadlines
  • Online training and all health & safety training eg. manual handling

Stage 2
  • Obtaining truck licences 
  • Picking / putaways in the aisles on a VNA / reach
  • Loading vehicles with a counterbalance

Stage 3
  • Cross dock
  • Checking picking / stock control tasks 
  • Picking carriers / collections 
  • Picking other areas of warehouse eg. bulk items 
  • Yard controller, managing flow of traffic into yard / banksman 

All tasks are shift dependant but the end goal is for you to learn everything
