This is a site based role working exclusively at our Gowerton Road site
What will you do?
The Quality Control Manager is responsible for overseeing and ensuring the quality of all kitchen cabinets produced, from raw materials to finished products. This role involves developing and implementing quality control systems, monitoring production processes, and ensuring compliance with company standards and customer requirements.
Some accountabilities of the role:
Create and implement quality standards, procedures and specifications for the Benchmarx assembly operation
Ensure that all products meet Benchmarx standards. Raise product non-conformances and quarantine products where required. Liaise with suppliers and other stakeholders through to resolution.
Collect and analyse quality data to identify trends, root causes of defects, and areas for improvement.
Develop and implement corrective actions to address quality problems and prevent their recurrence.
Train and develop the quality control inspector and other production personnel to ensure they have the necessary skills and knowledge.
Work closely with production, commercial, group quality and suppliers to ensure quality throughout the manufacturing process
Promote a culture of continuous improvement and identify opportunities to enhance product quality and efficiency.
What you’ll need to have/be:
Proven experience in quality control management
Ability to lead and motivate a team.
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact with various stakeholders.
Proficient in using Google Suite and Microsoft applications
Strong problem-solving and analytical skills to identify and resolve quality issues effectively.
Knowledge of ISO 9001 Quality Management Systems
A full UK driving licence
