International Freight Controller

What you’ll do

As the International Freight Controller, you will support the compliant and on-time delivery of all Internationally sourced Travis Perkins Plc products to internal customers’ final delivery facilities. Supporting group sourcing activities with the management of related logistics and supply chain services. The role offers scope for personal development and applying learnings from multiple internal and external training opportunities.

Some Accountabilities of the role - 

• Coordination of the Group International Freight operation, including 4PL and 3PL activities across multiple freight modes.

• Day-to-day management of the international supply chain operation.

• A key representative for specific business units by providing required visibility of the operation, industry insight and influencing ways of working with an awareness of the commercial strategy.

• Provide the business end-to-end visibility of International stock movements with credible data and reporting on  KPIs.

• Key stakeholder in selected International Freight Services and business change initiatives, whether supporting on macro events such as Chinese New Year or system development and project implementations

Is this you?

Due to the nature of the role you will need to have the ability to learn quickly, working within a small team that prides itself on collaboration both internally and externally.  Key skills are managing and interpreting data along with strong communication skills to positively influence stakeholders and process. 

It is important that you are a self starter and willing to learn to drive your own personal development, along with this an engaging style and eye for detail.
