Customer Service / Warehouse Assistant

Are you a hard working team player who could join us as a Customer Service/Warehouse Assistant at our BSS branch on Broom Rd, Poole?

We are currently looking for a new team member to join us on a permanent basis, we’re not looking for lots of previous experience in a customer focused warehouse role, however it would be ideal! What we are looking for is someone with a customer-centric mindset and a desire to do a great job, everything else can be taught.

What Do We Do?

We are BSS. You’ve probably never heard of us before, and that’s OK. We’re part of the Travis Perkins group, and we are the UK’s largest distributor of pipeline and heating solutions. Imagine the boiler room in a hospital or school, we supply all of the pipework and components required - from industrial sized boilers to miles and miles worth of large tubes, we do it all! Our customers are typically heating contractors that focus on large scale projects for their own customers, and we are their supplier. Simple, right!? Our branches (or "trade counters") are in place to serve our customers, either face to face, over the phone or by email. Customers can pop into our branches to collect the stock they require, or they can call or email to arrange a delivery. We’re looking for someone that has excellent customer service qualities. Our business is built on relationships, and doing what is right for the customer.

What Will You Be Doing?

This is a hands-on, varied role and your tasks may include everything we do in branch! You will definitely have face-to-face interaction with our customers. We may need you to support the sales team in the office, this could include following up on quotations or processing purchase orders. Also our branches are usually attached to a small warehouse which houses all of our stock. From pipes and tubes, fittings and components, to boilers and tools - we cover the lot. We’re looking for someone who would be happy to work in a physically demanding environment, working as part of a team to keep the warehouse running smoothly, efficiently, and most importantly, safely. Organising stock and putting it in the correct locations, loading and unloading branch vehicles as and when required, and general housekeeping duties. Interested? Apply now!
