Where will I be based?
You will be based in our Penarth branch on Weighbridge Yard Cogan Station, this is a busy branch with 5 colleagues and we have a footfall of around 70 Trade customers per day, so the branch manager has created a vibrant and family feel atmosphere, its key that the team work together to support one another, so you will be in good hands.

Salary of 14820.00 per annum minimum for 30hours, but you can flex up to earn more! plus we offer an annual bonus

Opening Hours - Monday - Friday 7am - 5pm and Saturday 8am - 12pm  
We are looking for someone to work on a 30hours flexible contract and work only 2 saturday in 4.   

How will we support you?
Right from the start of your career with us, you’ll be supported in your development. You’ll join our Certificate in Merchanting Programme, a 12 month Apprenticeship that will give you the tools to be successful in your role. Over the length of your apprenticeship programme, you’ll explore:

Our Apprenticeships are focused on your development and factor study time into your working week, so you can achieve your qualification without affecting your work-life balance. We provide you with a fantastic support network through; 1:1 coaching, mentoring and technical and skills training to enable you to progress your career with us. Along the way, our experienced team will provide you with plenty of support to ensure you get the best out of your Apprenticeship. And it doesn’t have to end here, as we have a suite of Apprenticeship programmes that can support you to continue to develop your career with us, all the way up to the Boardroom. 

What will you be doing?
Talking to our customers on our trade counter, building strong relationships, so it’s essential that you can help deliver the highest standards of service - the key thing is to be helpful and friendly at all times, you will likely get to know our customers on a first name basis like we do.
Support our customers with their purchases by providing information on our products, preparing quotes, fulfilling their orders in the yard or taking sales over the phone or via email. 
As part of the Branch Team, at times, you will be based outside on the front line dealing with our customers that come into our yard, supporting with their orders, also loading and unloading customer and company vehicles.

You’ll be:
Someone that has the ability to provide great customer service and is able to build relationships with people at all levels and enjoys working within a sales environment
Someone that loves to learn and develop 
Someone that is physically active, this role can sometimes be located outside and will involve lifting heavy building materials and use of manual handling equipment, such as forklift.
