What Will You Be Doing?
Throughout your apprenticeship, you’ll gain exposure to various areas of the branch, helping you discover where your strengths and interests lie. Whether you’re interacting with customers at the trade counter or assisting them over the phone, you’ll be part of a team that works together to deliver products to our customers quickly and safely. Every day will offer something new, and you’ll get a full experience of what life is like in a BSS branch.

How Will We Support You?
From day one, you’ll receive strong support as you begin your career with us. You’ll join our Service and Know-How Programme – a 12-month apprenticeship that equips you with the skills you need to succeed. Over the course of the apprenticeship, you’ll explore our safety culture, gain knowledge about the products we sell, the services we provide, and get a deeper understanding of our customers.

You’ll benefit from 1:1 coaching and mentoring throughout your apprenticeship and beyond, ensuring that you have a solid support network for both your day-to-day work and personal development.

By the end of your apprenticeship, you’ll have gained a nationally recognised qualification and built a strong foundation for a successful future with us. With apprenticeships covering 90% of our roles, there are plenty of opportunities to fast-track your career within our group.
