Customer Sales Assistant
Role Title : Trade Counter
Company : BSS Industrial
Reports to : Warehouse Supervisor / Branch Manager
Role Purpose
To be the first point of contact for customers and suppliers when entering our premises, who should be greeted with a positive ‘Can Do’ attitude. Assisting the Warehouse Supervisor and branch team in offering an excellent level of service for our customers and suppliers whilst upholding the ‘Stay Safe’ culture of our business.
Main Duties and Responsibilities
1. To provide a high quality of customer service on the Trade Counter.
2. Assisting the loading and unloading of stock using the appropriate mechanical handling equipment or manually when required.
3. To maintain the required stock levels on the Trade Counter, and merchandise to maximise the profitable operation of the branch.
4. Ensure the use of correct documentation when booking goods in and out of the branch. 5. Identification and reporting of damaged stock through the correct procedure. 6. Completion of daily sheets for MHE and make sure safe operational procedures are adhered to all times.
7. Participate in stocktaking as required.
8. Ensure all ‘Stay Safe’ procedures and policies are followed, making sure the highest levels of housekeeping standards are maintained.
9. All near misses, hazards and injuries to be reported to your line manager. 10. To participate and drive your development through training and learning from others.

8. Ability to operate Mechanical Handling Equipment (Training available.) 9. Ability to meet the physical demands of the role.
