Branch Hire Assistant

BSS Hull are seeking a Hire Assistant, you'll be on the front line dealing with our customers that have any queries or orders relating to tool hire.  As part of the branch team, you will play a vital role in our continued success, providing a first class service. You will need to be hands on and people focused to be successful for this role. 

Where Will You Be Working?

BSS, a subsidiary of Travis Perkins Group, is looking for a talented Branch Hire Assistant to join our Hull branch. The branch is already staffed with a team of 10 colleagues 2 being in our Hire Team, operating 2 delivery vehicles while serving a large number of customers per day.

What will I be doing?

As Hire Assistant, you will be responsible for:

• With your learned knowledge of the products and services we offer, you will be a pivotal contact for our customers, nurturing great relationships, understanding their needs in order to offer expert advice and recommending alternatives to profitably maximise the sale of goods

• Testing tools and taking orders inside, to being outside with customers loading vehicles
• Full training is provided in order to test and know how to use and give advice on our hire items
• Safety is at the forefront of everything we do, so you will need to adhere and be compliant to all Tool Hire processes and procedures including all Tool Hire audits and inspections
• Developing business through sales calls and chasing leads to drive growth of the hire function

• You will support your Tool Hire Manager in managing all aspects of their department and business

What experience do you need?

Experience is not needed in this role, full training will be provided. This is a key customer facing role, you just need the ability to provide great customer service, chase a sales, we can teach you the rest.
