Apprentice Branch Warehouse Assistant 

Salary: £9.50ph + Bonus + 22 days holiday plus bank holidays + discounts and access to health and well being advice and support.

What will I be doing?
No one day is the same as the next in branch life with BSS, but with your new found product knowledge and training, here are a few pointers:
  • Candidates need to be 18yrs or over, as you will be driving a forklift, but don't worry full training is provided.
  • As part of the Warehouse team, you will be on the front line dealing with our customers that come into our Trade Counter, greeting customer, supporting with their orders, loading and unloading customer and company vehicles.
  • Our success is built on strong relationships with our customers so it’s essential that you can help deliver the highest standards of service - the key thing is to be helpful and friendly at all times.
  • You will also unload our air conditioning and ancillary products from supplier deliveries and accurately book them into our warehouse.  
How we’ll support you?

Right from the start of your career with us, you’ll be supported in your development. You’ll join our Warehousing Programme, a 12 month Apprenticeship that will give you tools to be successful in your role. Over your apprenticeship, you’ll explore our safety culture, the products we sell, the services we provide and understand more about our customers.

Through 1:1 coaching and mentoring, you’ve got a fantastic support network that will support you, not only through the apprenticeship programme, but your day to day development.

Over the year, you will build the foundations for your future career as well as gaining a nationally recognised qualification. With apprenticeships covering 90% of our roles, there’s also multiple development opportunities to fast track your career within our Group.

Who are we looking for?
  • You’ll have a great worth ethic, be a team player and work closely with your branch colleagues to get the job done 
  • You’ll be physically active, this role may involve lifting heavy materials and use of manual handling equipment, such as forklift
  • You’ll have friendly and outgoing personality, someone that is happy to communicate face to face with customers and build strong relationships
  • Someone who thrives in a dynamic and fast paced environment that has a thirst for learning
