We are currently seeking a Warehouse and Transport Supervisor for our TFS Leeds branch.

Working Hours - Monday-Thursday 7am - 4pm, Friday 7am- 3:30pm. This is a 39.5 hour contract and we are looking for a Warehouse and Transport Supervisor to work within these hours, this can be discussed during the interview.

The Role:
As Warehouse and Transport Supervisor, you’ll be responsible for the supervision of the Warehouse and transport team, ensuring the highest quality of service to our customers at all times. Our Leeds branch has a fleet of three HGV vehicles, and 1 FLT. In the transport Supervisor role you will be supporting the Transport Operation with day to day management of the driver team and branch fleet, ensuring all compliance measures are met, as well as managing the Warehouse team to ensure the smooth running of the overall branch operation.
What will I be doing?
You will motivate, engage and delegate to empower the team of Drivers and Warehouse Operatives to work together as one.
Responsible for ensuring full compliance for vehicles and drivers, the reporting and management of accidents
Meeting agreed Transport/Fleet targets - utilisation and capacity targets
Planning the Routes for daily deliveries
Managing TACHO Compliance with our drivers & Vehicle Compliance to ensure our vehicles are road worthy.
Ensure that the service and maintenance schedules are followed
Stay Safe - Safety is at the forefront of everything we do, your aim will be to ensure that our standards never slip, by adhering to all stay safe policies and procedures. Including checking that Drivers comply with the law and that vehicles are inspected in line with company and governing body procedures
Set the tone and champion a Stay Safe culture across the branch at all times promoting a healthy workplace and colleague wellbeing.
What experience do you need?
We are looking for someone that comes from the warehousing / transport / builders merchants industries although not essential plus your transferables skills including, great customer service, people management, exceptional Health and Safety knowledge.
