Technical Support Engineer - Air Conditioning & Heat Pumps

Base Location: Manchester and surrounding areas

We’re looking to recruit an experienced Technical Support Engineer who will be responsible for providing comprehensive designs, quotations, technical support, training, marketing and product development to help us achieve our ongoing market share development plans.

The role will be a hybrid of pre and after-sales, with predominantly being office-based Pre-Sales.

Key responsibilities for this role include:

• Communicating with customers to establish design and application requirements, via site surveys, teams call, emails and phone calls.

• Offering advice on product range and product performance

• Advice on Installation, commissioning, fault diagnosis and after sales

• Calculation of system capacity, and sizing of equipment based on customer drawings and data, including splits, multi splits, VRF and Air Source Heat Pumps

• Use manufacture design software (Training will be provided)

• Converting specification into a commercial offering

• Work with our Air Conditioning brands on their product offering and range development.

• Assist customers with warranty claims.

What we are looking for:

You will be RACHP qualified to C&G or ONC level, F-GAS Category 1 qualified (desired), and/or have experence in a technical role. You’ll have proven experience from working in a similar role within the RACHP industry, or looking to move from a site based role to the design and support office. The successful candidate will be able to calculate heat gains/Losses, understand appropriate equipment to meet customer expectations, and be capable of delivering training.

Knowledge of our current kit brands is a benefit, but not essential (Mitsubishi Electric, Fujitsu, Samsung, Climaveneta)

Mobility within the UK to visit sites, customers and our nationwide branches is essential for this role. Base location can be flexible (UK based).
