National Account Manager

We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Account Manager to join our National sales team, covering the whole of the UK, it's essential that candidates have experience of dealing with housebuilders and main contractors.  We’ve got huge ambitions for 2023 and beyond, and we’re on the lookout for you to join us as a commercially minded National External Account Manager, who is passionate about our National customers and the service we provide, to help us in delivering our goals.

We work in a dynamic and fast-paced environment where as part of our culture we take pride in what we do. We listen and support each other as one team in the National Sales team whilst driving to achieve one shared vision.

What you’ll be doing

You will lead and manage the partnership with a defined number of Key Accounts. By working collaboratively, you will agree and achieve jointly agreed strategic plans and objectives; thus delivering the sales and profit budget for those accounts.

No two days are the same within this role, but here are some of the key accountabilities you will be involved in:
  • Building strong understandings of our customer objectives at all levels and creating quality trusted relationships with all stakeholders
  • Ensuring that each customer has an established business development plan in place
  • Market research/ forecast for up and coming projects

What we are looking for?

We are looking for someone who’s enthusiastic, resilient and resourceful, with a sharp eye for detail and a passion for excellence. Additionally, being well-organised and planned goes without saying, as you will be responsible for building relationships with some of our biggest National customers.

The successful candidate will ideally have:
  • An attitude to succeed and a continuous improvement outlook
  • Industry knowledge of building products would be advantageous, but not essential, as training will be provided.
  • Ability to build strong customer relationships over the phone and specifically video calls
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to relate to a broad spectrum of individuals
  • Good working knowledge of company IT systems
