Margin Analyst

What will you do? 

To be part of the team responsible for the Finance implementation of the Kerridge ERP system. Post go-live to be the finance super-user and responsible for reviewing margin and stock 

Some accountabilities of the role: 

• To review the BSS trading margin on a daily basis and identify low/high margin transactions. To identify the reasons for this and to correct

• To support the branch and operational teams to understand the implications of decisions being made on the finance elements of the system and margin trends

• To review the day to day operation of the system with business users and suggest improvements to make the system more efficient

• Review stock booking ins on a daily basis to ensure correct and periodically review changes in cost price of goods to ensure operating correctly 

• To liaise with the Supplier Support team to review customer and supplier margins to ensure the correct amount of support is being claimed.

• To provide margin reporting on the system to identify trends and opportunities for increased profit

• To assist in the preparation and reconciliation of the monthly balance sheet reconciliations and half year and Year end

• To undertake any other tasks as required by the Head of Finance or Finance Director

What you’ll need to have/be:

• Experience of dealing with integrated ERP system

• Strong communicator

• Clear decision maker 

• Ability to manage & understand the detail as well as the high level / strategic view

• ERP systems

• Ability to influence

• Able to work at pace
