What you’ll be doing?
You’ll work closely with the Hire Manager to ensure compliance with all mechanical and electrical processes related to the repair and testing of tools and equipment, maintaining the Travis Perkins Hire standard.
You will be answering telephone calls, responding the emails and arrange hire and collections.
You’ll assist your Hire Manager in managing all aspects of the Hire Department and business, ensuring that all equipment is fully repaired, tested, and safe for hire.
With your growing knowledge of our products and services, you’ll be a key contact for customers, building strong relationships, understanding their needs, and offering expert advice while recommending alternatives to maximise sales and profitability.
Safety is our priority, so you will follow all Hire processes and procedures, including audits and inspections.
Who you are?
Experience in the plant or hire industry is not essential, though it would be advantageous. A basic understanding of electrical, petrol, and diesel equipment is also a plus. More importantly, if you’re eager to learn and develop, we’re looking for transferable skills like excellent customer service and sales experience. A full, clean UK driving licence is preferred.
You are adaptable, resilient, and determined, with a high level of energy and drive. Generous, hard working and easy to deal with.
