HGV Driver Class 1 (Nights)

What will I be doing?

You will be driving one of our 44 ton articulated curtainsider vehicles, you’ll be working Sunday - Thursday 7pm - 10am delivering and collecting our palletised products, including some site equipment, to and from our branches and suppliers, in a safe, efficient and timely manner.  Working over a range of fixed routes, on any route you would deliver to up to 5 branches mainly on the South Coast, to include Norwich and Bristol.

Our drivers are responsible for maintaining all vehicle/goods movements and completing all necessary paperwork and interfacing with the systems we use.  Deliveries take place at night and it’s our driver's responsibility to offload/reload the vehicle using the branch forklift truck.  We will naturally provide FLT training if needed. 

Safety and compliance is always at the top of our agenda, and our drivers are responsible for carrying out vehicle checks, maintaining roadworthiness, adhering to transport legal compliance and ensuring that all loads are correctly secured for transportation.

Required:

All applicants will have a Class 1 (C + E) with up todate CPC records. A Fork Lift Truck Licence would be advatageous but not essential as full training will be offered to the right candidate.
