Staircraft currently have a great opportunity to work as part of the design team at the forefront of innovation in the construction industry.
This role can be based at or our Head office in Coventry (CV7 9PU) or our West Bromwich site (B71 1DF)
The role overview includes responsibility for creating and managing the annual total product forecast and to support the leadership team with regular management information reports.
Accountabilities include:
To provide joist designs and detail for a range of projects and support the Customer Delivery Team on joist design and estimating.
Use Staircrafts’ new inhouse software to design and price floor layouts
Prepare drawing/ document packs for issue
Prepare drawing register and issue sheets to accompany joist drawings
Work with external consultants and clients
Use Revit in order to supply accurate models to the customer
Support the team to help achieve monthly sales and growth profit targets
Process information by way of accurate production drawings and cutting lists
Develop an understanding of Staircrafts’ wider suite of product offerings and their component parts
Qualifications/ Experience:
Degree or equivalent in Design/Architecture/ HND/HNC in construction (desirable)
Be technically competent on joisting details and software
Proficient IT user specifically MS office (Excel, Word), Auto CAD or similar joist software package
Revit user
Able to work under pressure
Good methodical approach to work and solution finding
Analytically minded
Ability to visualise in 3D
Able to multitask workload
Excellent written and oral communication skills
Good telephone manner
Preferably have proven track record on joist designing and producing fabrication drawings
Able to coordinate with clients architects / engineers
Previous experience working in design or architecture
Good knowledge of AutoCAD
