What will I be doing?
Not one day is the same as the next in branch life, but here are a few pointers:
Our success is built on strong relationships with our customers so it’s essential that you can help deliver the highest standards of service - the key thing is to be helpful and friendly at all times, you will likely get to know our customers on a first name basis.
You will be based inside, processing our customer orders, answering the phone, keeping stock and facing up shelves.
You will also be dealing with supplier deliveries and accurately book them in the branch.
Full training is provided to use our systems and
Safety is at the forefront of everything we do, your aim will be to ensure that our standards never slip, this means maintaining a tidy and safe working environment.
What we are looking for
Ideally you will have previous experience in a similar phone based role with great customer service skills and able to relate to loads of different people. Self motivated, enthusiastic and organised, you will also have good numerical skills. As long as you have fundamental customer service and transferable skills, anyone can be successful in this role.
This role is based in our Travis Perkins Morecambe branch, this is a growing team where you are really made to feel at home. This is a large branch in a very established position within their area.With great staff and customer base it will be the perfect branch to start your career with us. With a team that all gets stuck in and help each other out when in busier periods. This is an opportunity for someone with experience to get their teeth stuck in and develop a long lasting career with us. The team which is soon to be 14, will take you under their wing along with John the branch manager, to really give you the best development opportunities. They have a full Benchmarx facility with a delivery van and 2 HGV wagons, so deliveries are always flying out. We are looking for someone to bring confidence and customer service skills to be the front of our business working on the counter.
