As a Yard Assistant, you’ll work outdoors in all weather conditions and be part of our hardworking, friendly team, delivering exceptional service to our customers. This is a hands-on, demanding role, so you’ll need to enjoy being active and busy.
What You'll Be Doing
Serving our customers, completing paperwork accurately, and ensuring they are satisfied with the products they receive.
Safely moving materials around the branch, loading and unloading customer and company vehicles, and offloading supplier deliveries into our stock warehouse.
Operating a counterbalance forklift truck, for which we will provide training.
Who You Are
Experience with heavy lifting or working outdoors would be beneficial, but not essential.
An MHE (Material Handling Equipment) licence or previous experience would be an advantage.
Excellent customer service skills – a positive, helpful attitude, and the ability to make both customers and colleagues smile is essential.
The ability to work in line with company policies.
Willingness to assist with stock-taking as required.
