As a Yard Sales Assistant, you’ll be at the heart of our operations, providing outstanding service to our customers and ensuring they leave with a smile. You’ll be the first point of contact for customers visiting our yard, and you’ll play a key role in making sure everything runs smoothly.
What You’ll Be Doing
Each day in the branch is different, but here’s an overview of what you’ll be up to:
Providing exceptional customer service – You’ll be the friendly face that customers see when they visit, getting to know them by name and ensuring they have the best experience possible.
Outdoor work – You’ll spend most of your time outside, helping process customer orders, loading and unloading both customer and company vehicles.
Stock management – You’ll assist with unloading supplier deliveries and accurately booking in products in the branch warehouse.
Forklift operation – While experience with a forklift is beneficial, don’t worry – full training in MHE equipment will be provided.
Maintaining safety standards – Safety is a top priority, and you’ll play a key role in ensuring our yard is tidy, well-organised, and safe for both customers and colleagues.

Enjoys being active – This role involves lifting heavy building materials and working outside, so you’ll need to be comfortable in all weather conditions.
Friendly and approachable – You’ll enjoy meeting and talking to customers, building strong relationships to ensure they keep coming back.
Adaptable and energetic – You thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment where no two days are the same.
A team player – You work well with others, contributing to a positive team atmosphere and supporting your colleagues when needed.
