Joining our friendly and hard working family as a Yard Customer Assistant, you'll be on the front line dealing with customers that come into our yard. You will play a vital role in our continued success, providing a first class service.
This is a new Travis Perkins Branch opening in June 2024, but all staff will start on the 1st May 2024. The Branch is located at Travis Perkins, JW Industrial Estate, Whitstable, Kent, CT5 3PS.
Hours of work: Monday - Friday 7am - 5pm + 1 in 2 Saturdays 8am - 12pm
Where Will You Be Working ?
Travis Perkins is a network of 500+ branches that supply quality timber, building materials, kitchens, plumbing and heating, landscaping, painting and decorating essentials, and tools to trade professionals and self-builders across the UK. Our New Branch opening in Whitstable, Kent, CT5 3PS, employs staff across sales, drivers, tool hire, and yard, with 6 delivery vehicles. There is a Benchmarx Team and full Tool Hire team within the branch.
What will You be doing?
Our success is built on strong relationships with our customers so it’s essential that you can help deliver the highest standards of service - the key thing is to be helpful and friendly at all times, you will likely get to know our customers on a first name basis.
- You will be based outside, processing our customer orders, loading and unloading customer and company vehicles
- You will also unload our building products from supplier deliveries and accurately book them in the branch warehouse
- Full training is provided in order to drive our forklifts
- Safety is at the forefront of everything we do, your aim will be to ensure that our standards never slip, this means maintaining a tidy and safe working environment
