Job Title: Security Operator
Location: Office-based - Northampton, England
(Due to the requirement of this role to be carried out in our Northampton-based office, our Group Security team reserves the right to take location and travel arrangements into account when reviewing applications for this position)
Hours: 28 hours per week Pro-Rata (4 shifts on, 4 shifts off), 19:00-03:00, including weekends and bank holidays.
We are looking for a part-time CCTV and Intruder Alarm Security Operator to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for remotely monitoring our CCTV and Intruder Alarm systems and responding to security incidents. As part of the role, you will need to make calls to external keyholding contractors, branch colleagues and other third parties, such as the police, in the event of alarm activations, break-ins or other serious security incidents.
Key Responsibilities:
Remotely monitor CCTV and Intruder Alarm systems
Record and report any genuine security incidents
Liaise with emergency services and external contractors as required
Ensure compliance with internal security procedures
Highlight and escalate any equipment faults to the in-house technical team
Requirements:
The successful candidate will have the following:
Strong communication skills
The ability to work under pressure
Good PC literacy skills
Flexibility to work weekends and bank holidays
Full training will be provided, however, knowledge of CCTV and intruder alarm systems, Google Workspace products and GDPR awareness are desirable traits.
This is a part-time role, offering 28 hours per week Pro-Rata (4 shifts on, 4 shifts off). The salary for this role is £17,318.00 p/a (approximately £11.89 /hour).
As the role will require weekend and bank holiday work, flexibility is essential. The successful candidate will be based in our Northampton-based office and will work closely with other members of our security team.
