Procurement Manager - Goods Not for Resale (GNFR)

This is an exciting time at Travis Perkins, where you will join at the early stages of the Goods Not for Resale / Indirect Procurement journey.
We are looking for commercially minded forward thinking procurement professionals.
The GNFR portfolio is in excess of £400m. This role will see you act as a strategic business partner and trusted advisor, working with the relevant business areas to help provide overall direction for procurement activity, with a strong lens on commerciality and providing efficiencies within the Group.
Location: Hybrid working with some time based in Northampton office.
We regard these to be following key activities;
Provide leadership beyond just buying, by seeing the bigger picture, and focusing on the things that will make the biggest difference to our overall strategy
Building of business cases for alternative sourcing models, and on policy and procedures covering the selection of suppliers, tendering, and procurement
Working effectively with internal stakeholders, building strong relationships and understanding the business needs
Negotiating with new and existing suppliers
Supplier management during selection process
