Head of Sales

We currently have a huge opportunity to grow our market share, and due to this, we have created the brand new exciting role of Head of Sales, being based around Exeter. We are looking for someone to manage and motivate sub-regional sales teams, regional sales offices and branches within the Region and to ensure that sales and profit targets are achieved. This is whilst managing up to 10 directs reports and indirect reports.

Responsibilties would include, but not limited to:
Budget responsibility and other key financial metrics such as Sales, Trading Profit / Margin and Departmental performance vs. AOP & Growth target vs. previous year, and KPIs.
Ensuring sales territories are organised to maximise the effectiveness of the sales team resource and to provide optimum coverage of the allocated sales region.
Work in conjunction with the RD’s and Branch Teams, in order to improve our “in branch” selling culture, and to support branch sales improvement plans across the sub regions.
Review and report upon sales, margin and team / individual specific key performance data, providing appropriate feedback and acting upon areas requiring improvement.
Support RD’s to coach branch teams to utilise sales tools such as Sales Hub to help exceed branch customer sales targets.
Take a proactive lead in developing customer and regional specific action plans in conjunction with relevant team members and other appropriate colleagues.
What attributes are we looking for?
Experience of managing remote teams and experience of regional sales leadership.
Sales driven, motivated with a passion to succeed.
Confident in supporting and managing change.
Excellent written and verbal communication and people skills.
Work well under pressure and in a fast-paced enviornment.
Strong leadership skills and a good team player, with effective sales and negotiation skills.
Outside of a competitive remuneration package, we offer an extensive reward, benefits and pension package. We know this role can be demanding as travel is an essential part of this role, so this role would include a company car provided through our Essential Business User scheme.
