GNFR Buyer - 9 month FTC
What will you do?
This role will see you act as a strategic business partner and trusted advisor, working with the relevant business areas to help provide overall direction for procurement activity, with a strong lens on commerciality and providing efficiencies within the Group. The activities expected within this position include contractual renewals, supplier benchmarking, running small tenders and supporting the Senior Procurement Managers with larger transformational RFP work.

An advocate for the Commercial Team
Be inquisitive about the Group and the decisions previously made
Experience with managing internal and external stakeholders
Responsible for engagement with internal stakeholders participating with the relevant streams of work.
Previous experience of negotiations with 3rd parties
Effect communications management between 3rd parties participating on the relevant streams of work and the Program team/TP stakeholders
Ensures that terms and conditions are aligned with current legislation and policy.
Will provide support to Senior Procurement Managers/Procurement Managers in tendering activity, including sourcing relevant long list participants and RFP construction.
Utilise commercial policy and procedures to manage day to day activities.
What you’ll need to have/be:
Evidence of negotiation skills.
Works well with others in an integrated team environment
Well organised with an eye for detail.
Ability to adapt to a fast-moving landscape and keep pace with latest thinking
Analytical mind capable of managing numerous information sources and providing data analysis reports to senior management
Customer focus – able to meet the demands of internal and external customers
Can make decisions that are well informed and timely
Excellent communication skills – providing verbal and written communication that is outstanding to both direct reports and senior management as well as other stakeholders
Flexible and adaptable – capable of changing direction where required and showing flexibility to meet new demands
Creative thinking – able to look at alternatives and consider new ways of thinking to problem solve
Multi-tasking – can manage several concurrent projects and prioritise demands
Extensive knowledge of best practice
