Are you a dynamic and results-driven sales professional looking to take your career to the next level? Travis Perkins, a leading name in the building products industry and hire industry, is seeking an ambitious Area Sales Representative to join our sales team to cover the South East.


Your Role and Responsibilities:


  • Customer Relationship Management: Build and nurture strong relationships with key local customers within your assigned territory.

  • Sales Growth Strategy: Develop and execute a tailored contact strategy blending face-to-face and telephone engagement.

  • Account Management: Ensure each customer has a meaningful business development plan to drive sales across all product categories.

  • Lead Generation: Identify and introduce new customers while capturing local project opportunities through proactive site visits.

  • Negotiation and Pricing: Establish and manage an effective pricing structure to maximise profitable sales.

  • Collaboration: Work closely with branch teams and suppliers to deliver exceptional customer service and meet sales targets.


What We’re Looking For:


  • Proven track record in sales, with at least two years of experience in a similar role.

  • Strong negotiation and influencing skills.

  • Excellent knowledge of building products and materials.

  • Ability to work independently and under pressure.

  • Strong IT literacy, including proficiency in spreadsheets and presentations.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.


Preferred Qualifications and Experience:


  • Recognized sales certification.

  • Advanced sales training.

  • Previous experience in an external sales role.


Your Impact:


In this role, you’ll play a critical part in driving sales growth and developing customer relationships. You’ll work on monthly and annual sales cycles, managing your own customer base while collaborating with branch teams to meet ambitious sales and profit targets.
