Esa began his driving career 18 years ago and started driving on and off before he came to work for Keyline. Here’s his story:
“I started working at Keyline through an agency”
Esa originally started working with us through an agency but submitted his CV to his manager at Keyline as soon as he realised what a great atmosphere there was at the branch. From his experience at Keyline Esa has noticed a high expectation of all workers to maintain a professional and safe level of work, where all the necessary tools and training are given to help you succeed.
“I can’t exaggerate enough how much I like all my colleagues”
The best thing for Esa about working as a driver at Keyline is the perfect balance between having individual responsibilities and working with customers and his colleagues. When the day starts Esa will already have his truck loaded and ready to set off before the yard gets busy, after which he’ll make his drops and then return in time to help the yard staff. When the Keyline branches are full of activity all our colleagues like to pitch in so they can help make everyone’s day easier. It’s this friendly environment that makes the world of difference to Esa.
“A lot of my free time revolves around my health”
When Esa isn’t driving HGV trucks or helping his colleagues in the yard he’s making sure he keeps fit. In his time off he walks his dog, spends time at the gym and prepares his meals for the week ahead. And when he’s not keeping himself busy, Esa relaxes by playing video games and watching movies.
“You get appreciated for going the extra mile”
Esa notes that at Keyline all staff are valued and respected when they put in the effort, and that’s one of the most important things about his job.
