Peter has been working with us here at Benchmarx Kitchens & Joinery for the last 11 years. Our company was founded in 2006 and since then we have established ourselves as a major supplier to the UK building trade. “My team members are the best thing about my job”
Peter enjoys coming into work each day and seeing the same friendly faces. At Benchmarx, we consider ourselves a family. “A typical day can be hectic when carrying out two roles”
As a warehouse assistant and driver, Peter’s day can be very busy. He arrives at the branch and begins unloading stock and picking deliveries with his colleagues. Once the deliveries are correctly sorted, he will drive off-site and make the drops to our customers and chat to them before heading back to the branch. Peter will then run through some order processing and check stock levels. The hard-working nature of the Benchmarx team means that when they’ve completed all their jobs, they use their initiative to find more work. Peter keeps himself busy by tidying the warehouse and keeping it a safe space for everyone to work in.
“When I’m not at work you’ll find me on tour being a roadie”
Peter loves driving - he’s been driving professionally for 21 years - so it’s no surprise that he spends his weekends on the road. One of his greatest hobbies is driving to waterparks and theme parks.

This is great advice from Peter to anyone thinking of joining our business as a driver. We do look for experience, but it’s more important that you can learn quickly, have a positive working attitude and you’re physically fit.
