Kitchen Sales

You don't need to come from our sector, or have product knowledge, we will provide you with all the training and development you need. Benchmarx may have only been established in 2006, but we're already a major supplier to the UK's building and construction market.
You must have a full UK driving licence for the Kitchen Sales position as you will be visiting customers.
Where will you be working?
This Kitchen Sales opportunity is based at our standalone branch on Acre Road, Reading, RG2 0SU. Based within our busy Travis Perkins branch, this Benchmarx branch has a team of 4 colleagues providing exceptional advice and service to our customers. Also within this busy TP branch they operate HGV's there is a full tool hire time team too and obviously our Benchmarx kitchen team! Customer footfall is strong, the workplace is a busy one!
Your working hours will be Monday - Friday 7.30am - 5.00pm and Saturday’s 8am-12pm (working 2 in 4 Saturdays).
What’s in it for you?
We will provide you with Computer Aided Design (CAD) training, all the product knowledge, support and development you need to become a successful Kitchen Sales Designer:
- Starting salary from £26.5k, depending on experience. Plus uncapped commission, in your first year you could be earning an OTE of £32-35k
- 22 days holiday + bank holidays, that’s 6 weeks annual leave (inclusive of bank holidays)

What will you be doing?
Our most successful Kitchen Sales Designers come from a variety of different sectors and backgrounds, but they all have one thing in common, they deliver an exceptional ‘Customer Experience’. Our customers are traders and homeowners, so with your new learned knowledge of our products and newly trained design skills - here’s a snapshot of branch life at Benchmarx:
- Working with homeowners and trades professionals, you will produce accurate designs and quotes in a professional and timely manner to really understand their project and create their dream kitchen
- Building a strong network of customers around you to ensure you meet sales targets, you will also work closely with the external and internal stakeholders regarding customer requirements
- Not all customers come into the branch, so you will regularly visit our customers’ homes or building sites, where you will draw up inspirational designs on CAD and present them to the customers - You must have a full UK driving licence.
- Safety is at the forefront of everything we do, so your aim will be to ensure that our colleagues and customers leave the Showroom safely, by adhering to all stay safe policies and procedures

- You’ll be methodical and tenacious in your approach, being meticulous in terms of design to convert sales
- You’ll have great communication skills and be able to talk to a diverse set of individuals establishing great, long lasting relationships
- You’ll have a friendly and outgoing personality, with the drive and energy to succeed, being a strong self starter you will also enjoy working collaboratively with your colleagues.
- You’ll have the desire and motivation to exceed sales targets to maximise earning potentials
